Ingredients
- Tender lady fingers: 150 gms Slit green chillies: 2 Sliced onion: 2 medium Crushed garlic: 3 Ginger paste: 1 tsp
- Tomato sauce: 1 tbsps Chilli sauce: 1 tsp Mustard sauce: 2 tsps Vinegar: 1 tbsp Honey: 1 ½ tsps
- Salt: to taste Turmeric powder: ½ level tsp Hot water: 3 tbsps
Method
Step 1
Wash the lady fingers and prick each in a couple of places with a very sharp knife. Heat the mustard oil and fry the crushed garlic. Add the sliced onion and slit green chillies when the garlic is red. When the onion is soft add turmeric powder. Stir and add the lady fingers.
Step 2
Stir for about 10 seconds and sprinkle salt. Stir for awhile and cook covered upon medium heat. Stir a couple of times opening cover till almost done. In a small bowl add the water, ginger paste,tomato sauce, chilli sauce, mustard sauce, vinegar and honey.
Step 3
Increase heat and add the sauce to the lady fingers and stir. After about a minute cover and switch off the gas. After about 2 minutes open cover and serve hot. Delicious to eat with parathas and puri.
