Masundari bhaji/ Chamelion Plant Fry (Assamese) is a delicious recipe.
Ingredients
- Masundari xaak: 150 gms Sliced garlic: 1 tbsps Egyptian lentil: 1 tbsp Mustard oil: 1 tbsp Turmeric powder: ½ level tsp Salt: to taste To decorate: Masundari leaf
Method
Step 1
Clean, wash and drain the xaak. Wash and soak the lentil for half an hour. Heat oil in a karahi. Fry the sliced garlic. Sprinkle turmeric powder and add the lentil.
Step 2
Upon low heat stir the lentil for awhile and add xaak. Sprinkle salt and upon medium heat stir till done. Serve Masundari Xaak Bhaji as a first course with plain boiled rice decorating with masundari leaves.
