Ingredients
- Boiled rice (hot): 1 ½ cup Onion: 1 small Garlic cloves: 8-10 Green chillies: a couple Mustard oil: 1 tbsp
- Fenugreek seeds: a pinch Salt: to taste Sugar: a pinch Kolakhar: 1 tsp For garnishing: a teaspoon of mustard oil.
Method
Step 1
Peel the onion, wash and slice. Peel the garlic cloves, wash and slice. Wash the green chillies. Take a karai and put it upon fire. Heat the mustard oil and fry the fenugreek seeds till black and remove them.
Step 2
Fry the garlic till it changes colour and add the onion slices. When the onions are soft add the turmeric powder. Also add the boiled rice. Add salt to taste, sugar, green chillies. Stir fry upon medium heat for a minute and add the khar. Stir well and garnish it with mustard oil. Can serve as a first course with fritters.
