Kacchagulla

Kaccha gulla..is basic & very simple recipe of Sandesh.

Ingredients

  • Paneer: 250 gms Powder sugar: 2 tbsps Powder milk: 2 tbsps Grated lemon rind: ½ tsp Flour: 2 tsps Butter: 1 tsp Pista: 10 nos Cherry: 4 For garnishing: strips of lemon peel

Method

Step 1

Mash the paneer with your fingers. Fry the flour upon low heat with the butter for a minute and add to the paneer. Add the powder sugar, orange peel and powder milk. Soak the pista in warm water and remove the peel. Make slices of the pista. Also slice the cherries. Take the paneer in a heavy saucepan. Cook upon medium heat for 2 minutes.

Step 2

Cool and add half of the pista and cherries Cover and keep it in the fridge overnight. Take out and mash. Make desired size balls. Garnish with pista and cherries. To make more attractive use the long peels. Serve with a cup of tea. Can also serve as the last course of a meal.
