Chicken pie

A delicious chicken pie made from saucepan, combine chicken, scratch with carrots, peas and celery.

Ingredients

  • Minced meat: 300 ml Butter: 25 gms Flour: 150 ml Grated onion: 2 tbsps Garlic paste: 1 tsp Ginger paste: 1 tsp
  • Crushed cardamom: 4 Cinnamon powder: 1/2 tsp Pepper powder: 1 tsp Sausages: 3 Grated cheese: 40 gms Salt: to taste
  • Peanut oil: 2 tbsps Water : to make the dough Egg:1 For garnishing: onion leaf

Method

Step 1

Make pieces of the butter and rub it with the flour until crumb like. Add little water at a time and make a dough. Cover and keep aside for half an hour. In a pan heat the oil. Fry the onion, ginger and garlic till oil floats to the top. Add the minced meat and fry upon medium heat for 3-4 minutes adding salt to taste.

Step 2

Remove from fire. Cool. Add pepper, cardamom and cinnamon and stir. Also add half of the grated cheese. Beat the egg and mix to the minced meat. Roll the dough and put it in a pie dish. Press with your finger tips to fit and spread evenly.

Step 3

Put in the minced meat evenly. Split each sausages and put it in the pie dish according to your taste. Bake in moderate oven till done. Garnish with the remaining grated cheese and onion leaf. Serve warm.
